Superstorm Sandy Federal aid

Why is the almost $60 Billion in federal aid still not in the hands o those affected. How is it that it's been a year with no money flowing to residents.

Obamacare Healthcare website

How is it that a website that doesn't work cost over a half a billion dollars? That's $500,000,000.  Where is the outrage. Why did Michele Obama's college friend get a no bid contract for the work? How come that friends same company has another contract handing out almost 2 Billion in Sandy federal aid? What company does website design and federal handouts. Who is really getting this money?

AT&T "unlimited" data plan

I have been an AT&T customer for over 5 years. I have had the unlimited data plan since the first iPhone. At $20 then $30 per month for years I have paid them thousands of dollars for data. AT&T has been throttling my data after I hit 3GB every month. I am on disability and depend on my phone for Internet and keeping myself busy when I can't sleep. They tell me they have to update their network to keep up with demand. How is that possible. AT&T had a monopoly on selling the iphone for years and made a fortune. They should have used that money for updating their inferior network, not paying their executives enormous salaries. Now they have the nerve to try and force people to switch from unlimited data to tiered data plans so they can make more money while trying to blame their users for using a product they offered. If anyone is thinking of using AT&T, think again. Try Sprint for truly unlimited data.

Iran has US drone no answers

Iran has a US drone. Did the Chinese jam it and have Iran retrieve it?

"The president was not even asked about it:
Speaking to reporters at the White House, President Obama said Thursday that Iran is more isolated now than ever, and he called on Iranian leaders to forswear nuclear weapons if they want to end their isolation. He made the remarks in response to a question about Iran, but he was not asked specifically about the downing of the U.S. drone." -washington post

What is going on. The Republic is burning and we are playing the fiddle.

A federal judge has ordered a Texas school district to prohibit public prayer at a high school graduation ceremony.

Chief U.S. District Judge Fred Biery’s order against the Medina Valley Independent School District also forbids students from using specific religious words including “prayer” and “amen.”

The ruling was in response to a lawsuit filed by Christa and Danny Schultz. Their son is among those scheduled to participate in Saturday’s graduation ceremony. The judge declared that the Schultz family and their son would “suffer irreparable harm” if anyone prayed at the ceremony.

Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott said the school district is in the process of appealing the ruling, and his office has agreed to file a brief in their support.

“Part of this goes to the very heart of the unraveling of moral values in this country,” Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott told Fox News Radio, saying the judge wanted to turn school administrators into “speech police.”

“I’ve never seen such a restriction on speech issued by a court or the government,” Abbott told Fox News Radio. “It seems like a trampling of the First Amendment rather than protecting the First Amendment.”

Judge Biery’s ruling banned students and other speakers from using religious language in their speeches. Among the banned words or phrases are: “join in prayer,” “bow their heads,” “amen,” and “prayer.”

He also ordered the school district to remove the terms “invocation” and “benediction” from the graduation program.

“These terms shall be replaced with ‘opening remarks’ and ‘closing remarks,’” the judge’s order stated. His ruling also prohibits anyone from saying, “in [a deity’s name] we pray.”

Should a student violate the order, school district officials could find themselves in legal trouble. Judge Biery ordered that his ruling be “enforced by incarceration or other sanctions for contempt of Court if not obeyed by District official (sic) and their agents.”

The Texas attorney general called the ruling unconstitutional and a blatant attack from those who do not believe in God — “attempts by atheists and agnostics to use courts to eliminate from the public landscape any and all references to God whatsoever.”

“This is the challenge we are dealing with here,” he said. “(It’s) an ongoing attempt to purge God from the public setting while at the same time demanding from the courts an increased yielding to all things atheist and agnostic.”

Ayesa Khan, an attorney representing the student and his parents, told KABB-TV she was delighted in the judge’s decision.

“It caused him a great deal of anxiety,” she said, referring to her teenage client. “He has gone to meet with the principal to try and talk in a civilized way about long-standing problems, and the school district has continued to thumb its nose.”

The judge did grant students permission to make the sign of the cross, wear religious garb or kneel to face Mecca. But that’s not good enough for some students at the high school.

“It’s just a big surprise that one kid can come in and change what’s been a tradition since Medina Valley started,” student Abigail Russell told KABB-TV.

Fellow student Alicia Jade Geurin agreed.

“At graduation, I would love to be able to speak from my heart,” she told the TV station. “But in this situation I feel my freedom of speech and my First Amendment is being infringed upon if I can’t say what I feel.”

But the Rev. Barry Lynn, executive director of Americans United for Separation of Church and State, hailed the judge’s decision.

“This is a high school graduation,” he told Fox News Radio. “It is not a church service.”

Lynn was critical of the attorney general’s allegation that the ruling was an attempt to purge Christianity from the public square.

“Any attorney general worth his salt would know that’s the issue and that this is not about promoting atheism,” he said. “That’s ludicrous.”

The Obama's vacation while others can't afford it.

From the LA Times:
One inconvenient stat cited by the sage Ed Morrissey: Obama's own debt commission proposed deficit reductions of $4 trillion (get used to that scary word) over the next decade. Obama's budget thinks $1.1 trillion is really good.

Here's the isolated president's perception of how painfully the feds need to address their fiscal canyon: "If you’re a family trying to cut back, you might skip going out to dinner, you might put off a vacation."

Delay a vacation? Where, to his planet? When millions of American families would settle for having a job in Obama's unstimulated economy? Or keeping their home while the Democrat lobs $53 billion more taxpayer money winning the future with unions to build high-speed trains for nobody to ride -- but to do so very rapidly?

Healthcare

Two things:
1)President Obama said the public would have five days to look over new legislation on his desk. However he gave just 36 hours before signing it.
2)Why should anyone be forced to buy insurance or fined. I have to have auto insurance if I drive a car, fine. But I am not doing anything and will be forced to buy health insurance. Thomas Jefferson said no American should be forced to pay for something they do not agree with.

This country is in trouble. The progressives and socialists are going against the will of the people. BlogBooster-The most productive way for mobile blogging. BlogBooster is a multi-service blog editor for iPhone, Android, WebOs and your desktop

Sotomayor should be questioned hard

Her rulings that the Supreme Court reviewed were overturned 60% of the time.

Further more she said the court is the place to make public policy. That is not the role. It is to interpret the constitution, period. Not make new rights.

And now she may have been a member of la raza. Nice.

IRS makes non profit companies disclose employee info for salaries more than $150,000

The IRS now wants to force non profits to disclose info on employees that make more than $150,000.

That may seem a lot to some, but it is not when you are tryig to find people to run large and complex non profits. What will happen is that these charities will diminish in stature making room for the government to step in to provide even more services for a dependent society.

Further more it is not the governments role, nor the angry mobs role to decide who makes what. That is not freedom. You will all be enslaved without knowing nor caring. Can anyone say 1984, big brother or Brave New World.

President Obama's leno comment

So this is the highly intellectual, classy and well spoken man America elected. Supposidly Sarah Palin was crude and unintelligent. At least she can speak without a TelePrompTer.

School budgets

I live in Fulton, NY, a small town north of Syracuse. The new school budget is $18 million dollars. That's right. 18 million. That is the amount they need from taxes. This does not include the $30 plus million the district gets from New York state. The average is $18,000 per kid. We Homeschool and only spend $300 per kid. There is a tremendous amount of waste going on. We need to rethink how we school the populace. Why is it that sports are included? Make those who play pay for it. Also fire some administrators while we are at it. Of course this will never happen. Govt never reduces spending, ever.
Wake up Amerika.

This is about the CNN story of the judge in Louisiana who ruled that a country club cannot 'discriminate' against women. The dinning room was men's only. Women can play golf but cannot dine in the mens only dining room. Big deal. How is this discrimination? Please read the story link below. Then write in to and get rid of Justice John L. Weimer of New Orleans (400 Royal Street, Suite 1190, New Orleans, LA 70130). Has anyone heard of impeachment of judges before? Wake up America.

http://www.cnn.com/2004/LAW/07/06/men.only.restaurant.ap/index.html

Why does CNN not mention that in New Orleans there are ladies only health clubs, but we can't have a men's only dining room? It is not discrimination for a women to be refused service in a men's only club. If it is, then I should be allowed in the Cardio Club (New Orleans) for women only. I love the double standards in this country. I thought this was America, but I guess it is Amerika instead. Yet another reason to move out of this country and let the liberals have it. Later.

Ok, I have had it with NY State. We need to vote out every state senate and assembly member who has been in office longer than 1 term. They all work for New York City once they get to Albany and figure out they can't change the system. So we need to. Let's start voting everyone out of office and replace them with candidates that make hard decisions (like cutting programs and positions, not raising taxes and dishing out more social services).

Thursday, June 17, 2004

Well our budget in New York is very late, again for the 19th or 20th year in a row. Now I hear that if they do not pass a budget soon, a court ordered that a contingency budget be put in place. The problem is that this allows school funding for New York City ONLY. No upstate (not the Catskills and orange county)funding of schools. Once again, the New York assembly and senate work for New York City.

Also, I recently talked to a police officer and was told point blank that the NY State Troopers and the Local police (Syracuse Police) have daily ticket quotas both on main roads (i.e. certain stretches of 81 have their own number) and in the cities.

I am about sick of this lack of Freedom. And I DO NOT MEAN THE PATRIOT ACT. That is specifically allowing current law to apply to terrorists. I am talking about the Cell phone, smoking, speed limit and gun laws. I thought the Constitution said "the right to KEEP and BEAR arms SHALL NOT be infringed upon." Hey people SHALL NOT means absolutely NO, NEVER, NOT GONNA HAPPEN, not maybe).

WAKE UP AMERICA,
"They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."
- Benjamin Franklin

Thursday, March 18, 2004

Ok, I am about sick of the liberals in this country who are destroying it. Do any of you have a clue about yourselves or your country. We were not founded on being diverse, we were found upon our common strengths and blending together for a common good (God's will), as a Judeo-Christian country tolerant but not caving in. Wake up America or you will be lost. As for the people who whine about WMD's. First of all the search is not over. Secondly that was not the ONLY reason we went in there. As Senator Kerry said during the first gulf war, we need to act if the UN will not. Now he has changed his mind. Well Bush didn't. The UN failed to act and we did not, period! Next we need to move on to Iran and North Korea. Then we can tell China to be very very careful or they are next. And we better do it soon, cause in 10 years they will have as many nukes as we do. If we listened to Patton we would not have any of these problems. Freakin liberals and pacifist's. Leave if you don't like it. Later. God bless America.
